BlackBerry 10: smartphones postponed to March 2013

BlackBerry 10 smartphones will probably not be launched before March 2013.

Peter Misek, an analyst at Jefferies, considers that the new BlackBerry 10 will not see the day before March 2013 (the experts thought at the beginning that the most likely date would be January 2013)

"We believe that economic uncertainty means that manufacturers are not likely to acquire or dismiss BB10 before its launch," said Misek

The short-term prospects are rather pessimistic about RIM. Misek had even said two weeks ago that the company "had very little chance to redress the balance," and that "his only hope was BB10"

BlackBerry 10 is a very significant overhaul of the operating system BlackBerry. The system works, and is indeed very different from the previous.

However, the company needs to recover some of its lost fans when she ceased to be innovative, and that consumers are overwhelmingly oriented competitors.
